A bit about me...

My artwork, created with a sense of adventure, and at times humor, depicts life in our ever-changing world through an optimistic lens.
The ideologies that have long inspired First Nation's traditional art intrigue me, particularly the enduring belief that we, and all things are intrinsically connected, This places a responsibility on us all to think beyond ourselves and to consider the role we play in defining the future of our planet.
My formal education as an artist began under the guidance of distinguished artist-academic Dr Jolly Koh, one of Malaysia's most eminent and influential artists. I also had the great honour of spending studio time with one of Australia's most celebrated artists, John Olsen, during his time living in Clarendon, SA. As a fledgling artist, I gained invaluable insight into his work through first-hand observation and many a jovial, and often philosophical, discussion. I remain inspired by his encouragement to pursue an artistic career.
With their support, I went on to achieve a Bachelor of Design and a Master's degree from the University of South Australia and have since worked with artists and designers across many cultures and disciplines for over 30 years.
I hope you enjoy my artworks as much as I did in creating them.
